SUGGESTIBILITY TESTS
The purpose and types (authoritarian and permissive) are discussed, demonstrated and practiced.
RECOGNITION & CLASSIFICATION OF SUBJECTS
An in depth discussion of the qualification of subjects, including common fallacies we encounter, occupational susceptibility, age and susceptibility of highly impressionable and emotional people.
HOW TO HYPNOTIZE
A 3 -step classical hypnotic induction procedure is introduced. The techniques are practiced and all participants are critiqued.
METHODS OF EMERGENCE
Ordinary and gradual emergence awakening methods are shown. Participants practice a self‐hypnosis, induction and awaken themselves.
DEPTH STAGES OF HYPNOSIS
Participants are introduced to the six depth stages of hypnosis and the criteria for judging trance depth.
SUGGESTION MANAGEMENT
Participants will learn the rationale for using self‐hypnosis and how it can influence all phases of their lives. In addition, they will be introduced to the world of suggestion and learn six important criteria for formulating action suggestions.
INFLUENCING FACTORS IN HYPNOSIS
In this lesson we discuss the influence of light, color, temperature, odors, music, sound, and emotions, and their effect on inducing hypnosis.
SELF‐HYPNOSIS TRAINING
A 3‐step method is demonstrated and participants actually construct their own system for teaching a complete program.
SESSIONS WITH A CLIENT
Participants are taught to structure sessions with clients, including the development of actual treatment plans.
ADVANCED INDUCTION TECHNIQUE
The eight steps necessary to perform an effective progressive relaxation induction are demonstrated. Instantaneous, indirect and waking hypnosis techniques are shown and practiced.
ASSESSMENT, GOAL SETTING AND REINFORCEMENT
This lesson introduces -through interactive discussions and application exercises ‐ the methodology to develop a teaching practice, and marketing your hypnosis programs to the corporate world are analyzed.
IMAGERY AND HYPNOSIS
Through case studies, role‐play activities and illustrations, the practical applications of using imagery in conjunction with proven ego‐strengthening techniques are explored and practiced.
YOUR HYPNOSIS PRACTICE AND MARKETING ? HOW SHOULD IT BE STRUCTURED?
The varied possibilities and options open to enhance a profitable hypnosis practice are explored. This includes how to start, expand and market your private practice. The methodology and structure of developing a successful hypnosis practice.

Was fortunate enough this past summer when I had the opportunity to attend Captain Eslingers class. As a practicing CRNA I have utilized much of what I was taught at the Labor and Delivery Unit I worked at in North Carolina. It gave me great satisfaction to help several women who absolutely did not want any epidural for labor, but agreed to hypnobirthing which made believers not only of the women and their families, but of staff RNs, staff OB/GYN physicians who were amazed how in less than 20 minutes with the patients they went from women in labor pain and than smiling as they pushed thier babies into the world. I now utilize my training in a GI setting where I use hypnosis along with some conscious sedation for colonoscopies on patients who wished to try. Unfortunately, due to the quick turnover I am very specific about which patients are selected, but the ones who utilize this technique are absolutely amazed. Thank you Captain Ron!!

Today I saw my first client. I was surprised at how much I remembered and did not have to look at script cards. Knowing vs. memorizing makes a huge difference. THANK YOU for all the practice. Like you said, not that I did not believe you, the magnetic fingers “were amazing”. She just couldn’t figure out how I did that. Her headache was gone when we finished and she wanted to go take a nap (poor sleeper). I’m glad I had the engineer for my student-client session. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge and experiences far beyond what was required for the course. You cannot put a value on the passion Ron has for teaching others hypnosis.

Clinton is a beautiful place for this class; the people are genial.
With Ron’s experience in healthcare, I moved toward a specific direction that I had wanted. The information sent prior to my arrival assisted in learning needed for class.
The class was cultivating with scenarios of clients including but not limited to Weight Management, Smoking Cessation, Pain Management, and Stress Management
It included videos of Ron treating clients.
Ron has good leadership skills, remains motivated throughout the time together, and as the instructor also learns from you.
Note: I had a major surgery in which I was able to eliminate pain medications except for subcutaneous injections at the incision site prior to surgery and I was able to refuse nausea medication. Deep breathing exercises and my ability to use self hypnosis assisted in my comfort and healing sooner than expected. I now pass this information onto my own clients who also obtain positive changes.
